This little tutorial is about how to use poses in TSM (yes, it’s possible!), I uploaded some here already. I promise it won’t be hard!
Firstly, just a little technical background: these poses are replacing ingame animations, so you basically have to “play” that animation in order to get the sim to pose. Yeah, I know it’s not that elegant, but at least it works XD
So! We have to download the pose first, and put it to the Mods folder (I recommend this tutorial if you’ve never installed custom content into TSM). Then we have to switch the testingcheats code on. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy as it is in other games, you can find a tutorial about it here.
If we’re done with it, open the game, and select the sim that we would like to pose. Shift + click on the sim, and select Animate… . If you checked my file names, you can see what animations I replace with the pose: mostly trait animations. So all we need to do is to search for the specific animation under Play Specific Idle… Trait Idles… and click on it. Ta-da! The pose applied on the sim!
Just a little thing: the sims will move their head while they’re posing, so we can use it to our advantage (for example, they look towards other sims). But you can alter this direction with a mirror – the sims always look at the mirror! 🙂
